Tender Description

PART A: LOT 379 Ngukurr, NT & PART B: LOT 382 Ngukurr, NT

The Northern Land Council (NLC) invites Requests for Quote (RFQ) from suitably qualified and experienced contractors to undertake structural remediation and corrosion treatment works at Lot 379 and Lot 382, Ngukurr, Northern Territory.

Lot 379 comprises an elevated two-bedroom dwelling with veranda, external bathroom/laundry/store and a separate demountable building. Lot 382 accommodates the NLC Regional Office, including the main office building with verandah, deck and ablutions, and a separate demountable building. Structural engineering investigations for both sites have identified corrosion and deterioration affecting steel floor framing, stub columns, bearers, joists, stairs, decks, baseplates and demountable supports. These works are required to restore structural capacity, address corrosion and ensure the buildings are safe and serviceable for an appropriate practical life as considered in the engineering reports.

This Scope of Work and the associated structural engineering reports describe the minimum works required. Any additional work that is reasonably necessary to achieve the objectives of the works and to restore and maintain structural capacity and durability for the expected service life is deemed to be included in the Contractors lump sum, whether or not it is specifically itemized in this document.

PART C: 3, Klyn Circuit, Nhulunbuy, NT

The Northern Land Council (NLC) invites Request for Quotes (RFQ) from suitably qualified and experienced contractors to carry out remedial works and the construction of a new engineered roof system at the NLC-owned dwelling located at 3 Klyn Circuit, Nhulunbuy NT 0880.The dwelling is a transportable building that is currently unoccupied. A recent condition report has identified a range of defects including water ingress, moisture-affected flooring, damaged internal linings, deteriorated external cladding, corroded external structural elements and an aged, patched roof. These works are intended to address the identified defects, rectify the causes of water ingress and restore the dwelling to a safe and functional standard suitable for use as visitor/staff accommodation (VOQ standard).
