Project goals

SCS seeks to procure a 20T–30T excavator and a suite of compatible attachments capable of meeting operational and safety standards outlined in the Statement of Requirements. The primary goal of this procurement is to enhance SCS’s operational capacity through the acquisition of reliable, high‑performance earthmoving equipment suited for a range of civil construction and maintenance activities. The successful supplier will deliver the excavator and attachments by 1 June 2026, ensuring compliance with all specifications, warranty conditions, and servicing requirements. This purchase aims to deliver long‑term value through improved efficiency, productivity, and asset sustainability within SCS’s project delivery framework.

Scope

The successful supplier will provide a 20T–30T excavator with compatible attachments as specified in the Statement of Requirements, including delivery, commissioning, and operator familiarisation. The excavator must meet all relevant Australian Standards, safety regulations, and performance criteria. Required attachments may include, but are not limited to, general‑purpose and rock buckets, rippers, and hydraulic quick‑hitch systems. The supplier will be responsible for ensuring that all components are fully compatible, tested, and supported by service and warranty arrangements. The scope also includes the provision of all documentation, training, and after‑sales support necessary to ensure smooth integration into SCS operations.
