21st Annual Nanga Mai Awards

⁠⁠⁠Project goals

Since 2005, the Nanga Mai Awards have celebrated innovation, excellence and achievement in Aboriginal education within NSW public schools and communities.

The awards are held annually and attended by the NSW Department of Education senior executive team including the Secretary, Deputy Secretaries and Executive Directors from around the state. The awards are supported by the NSW Aboriginal Education Consultative Group Inc. and the Aboriginal Education Council, and organised by the Department’s Aboriginal Education and Communities Directorate.

The Nanga Mai Awards support and align with the Plan for NSW Public Education, Aboriginal Education Policy, the NSW Department of Education and NSW AECG Inc. 'Walking Together, Working Together' Partnership Agreement, the Connected Communities Strategy and Closing the Gap strategy.

Scope

Sponsors will support the program through financial or value-in-kind contributions.

Organisations who can contribute in the following categories are invited to express interest:

1. Principal partner (exclusive) - $24,000 + GST
2. Platinum partners (3) - $10,000 + GST
3. Gold partners (5) - $8,000 + GST
4. Value-in-kind partners - $4,000 equivalent value Organisations contributing the equivalent of $4,000 or more in value-in-kind prizes, experiences or other support.
