C681Q Flood Recovery commemorative installation design

Council seeks to engage suitably qualified and experienced consultants to work collaboratively with flood-impacted communities to design commemorative installations that recognise the strength, resilience and collective effort demonstrated during the 2022 and 2023/2024 flood events.

The project will support structured, inclusive and trauma-informed community engagement across multiple towns and their surrounding districts, resulting in a concept design for a locally meaningful commemorative installation in each location.

The form of the installations will be determined by each community and may include (but are not limited to) sculptures, murals, or commemorative markers. A one-size-fits-all approach is not appropriate; instead, the consultant will facilitate a tailored design process that reflects local identity, priorities and experiences.

The project focuses on concept and decorative design only. Detailed design, construction and installation are outside the scope of this engagement.
