Track upgrades at Kings Billabong and Merbein Common

The Mallee Catchment Management Authority (CMA) is seeking suitably qualified contractors to undertake upgrades of some existing vehicle access tracks at Kings Billabong and Merbein Common. This work will improve accessibility, enhance visitor safety and promote environmental, cultural and social outcomes for the community.

Works may include grading and capping of the existing tracks with locally sourced Class 4 road base. Grading, capping and compaction works are to be carried out in accordance with Parks Victoria specifications.

A briefing session will be held at Lee Street, Merbein, VIC, Australia, 3505 on 10 March 2026 10:30 am.

Notes: Held Merbein Common – Red Gum track, Catfish Regulator Site; Kings Billabong, South – (Red Cliffs Entrance, Lee St)

A site visit is a pre-requisite to submission and consideration of a bid.
