Rochester Multi-Purpose Sporting Facility Detailed Design

The Rochester Recreation Reserve (Moon Oval) requires a major upgrade to its changerooms and social facilities to meet modern sporting standards, support gender neutral participation, and provide a flexible community event space and emergency relief centre. A master plan and concept design have been completed; this tender seeks detailed design and QS costings to create shovel ready documentation for staged construction.

Key deliverables for this project include:

• Site investigations – feature and level survey, services identification, structural review, electrical/hydraulic assessment, and planning requirements.
• Concept design – multiple layout options, elevations, fit out concepts, cost estimates and cultural heritage due diligence.
• Preliminary design – civil, structural and services design, Section J assessment, Essential Safety Measures, accessibility plans, 3D illustrations, and QS costing.
• Detailed design for tender – complete construction drawings, specifications, BOQs, materials/finishes, updated QS costings and accessibility certification.
• Certification and permits – structural certification and preparation of planning/building permit documentation.

The design needs to:

• Allow for the works to be undertaken in stages, based on available funding:
• Facilitate the permits, procurement and construction of the identified works.
• Meet the requirements of State Sporting Association guidelines, Workplace OHS, Building Code/National Constructions Code, Australian Standards and Codes of Compliance.
• Be delivered to the agreed time, cost and quality baselines
