Tender Description
The fabrication, surface treatment and erection of steel “Wiltja” structure, including the formation of gravel and compacted gravel paths to the adjacent low & high level walks, and the supply and installation of various interpretive elements – refer Section 8. Scope of Works (in the Request for Quotation document) for further information/detail.
Scope:
An outline of the work to be carried out under the Contract comprises:
• Formation of compacted gravel building pad and paths – to low level walk,
• Formation of gravel pathway – to high level walk,
• Fabrication, surface treatment and erection of steel “Wiltja” structure. Please note, the Wiltja structure has been designed so that it can be prefabricated in pieces off site, transported and then erected on site. No site welding is permitted,
• Fabrication, laser cutting (featuring branches and leaves), surface treatment and fixing of steel “wall/roof cladding” panels – artwork to be supplied by the Principal,
• Fabrication, laser cutting (featuring circles of various diameters), surface treatment and fixing of steel triangular “roof” panels,
• Providing and fixing of timber seat slats including steel fixing to concrete base,
• Provide and place stone base behind seats,
• Forming, pouring and finishing circular in-situ concrete table and seat bases,
• Fabrication, surface treatment and fixing of steel kick plate to the base of the central concrete table,
• Collection (from Plazart, Alice Springs premises), transportation and installation of “Principal supplied” Woman & Child interpretive sculptural elements and associated Grinding Stone.
Note: Final location for installation to be determined on site in consultation with artist/creator Pip McManus (Tel: 0422 065 470),
• Supply and install proprietary Armsign U-Turn Audio Post. Note: The graphic face plate design and audio input files to be provided by the Principal, and
• Make good the site upon completion.
