A key feature of Gippsland PHN is the Advisory Groups, consisting of a Clinical Council and Community Advisory Committee, ensuring health professionals and community are major contributors to the organisation.
Expression of Interest 2026
Gippsland Primary Health Network (PHN) is seeking expressions of interest for Community Advisory Committee members to commence from 1 July 2026, for a three-year term.
A key component of Gippsland PHN’s governance is the establishment of a Community Advisory Committee, providing community perspective to ensure decisions, investments, and innovations are patient-centred, cost-effective, locally relevant and aligned to local care experiences and expectations.
The Community Advisory Committee reports directly to Gippsland PHN Board and comprises 10-12 members from across Gippsland who will represent the perspectives of consumers, carers, and/or patient experience of the primary health system in Gippsland.
The Committee meets at least quarterly and additionally if necessary. Sitting fees will be paid to all members.
The committee is tasked to be an advisory body to the PHN Board by:
- Providing input and advice on sustainable opportunities to improve and integrate health care services for the patient or
- Engaging with community networks to enable public participation.
- Providing advice in relation to the integration of consumer, carer, and community views into all levels of Gippsland PHN operations, planning and policy development.
- Advocating to the Board on behalf of the community, consumers, and
- Advising on population health planning approaches and priorities for
- Providing such other advisory input as the Gippsland PHN Board may request in writing from time to time.
Gippsland PHN is seeking committee members from a range of backgrounds with different perspectives of the health sector and who would like to provide input and advice to improve health care services for patients and consumers in Gippsland.
