N-Class Standard Gauge Locomotive - Request for Tender

V/Line is seeking suitable organisations with an interest in purchasing and operating one (1) Standard Gauge N-Class diesel electric locomotive that are surplus to v/line's requirements. V/Line seeks to identify organisations who have an acceptable end-use for the locomotive and are capable of operating and maintaining the locomotive.

Tenders can include entities that are not rail operators. However, before taking possession of the locomotive, a successful tenderer will be required to demonstrate the pathway via which it will have the locomotive operated on the Victorian rail network by a suitably accredited rail operator.

Tenderers should note that V/Line requires that for five (5) years following the Collection Date the successful tenderer will use the locomotive on the Victorian network.
