Tender Description
The City of Sydney ('the City') invites Tenders for providing head design services for the Millers Point Traffic Calming project in accordance with this request.
The project involves in-road tree planting, modifying kerbs, parking and road layout as well as implementing traffic calming measures (blister islands, zebra crossings) to reduce traffic impacts and improve pedestrian amenity at key locations throughout the Millers Point Precinct.
Design services are required at 5 locations, as follows:
1. Lower Fort Street (north)
2. George Street & Hickson Road intersection
3. Lower Fort Street & George Street & Cumberland Street intersection
4. Argyle Street, Argyle Place and Lower Fort Street intersection
5. Kent Street & Argyle Street intersection
The Project seeks to enhance safety, improve pedestrian amenity, provide additional greening, reduce traffic speeds and discourage large vehicle through traffic whilst changing as little as possible to minimise impact on the exiting heritage fabric.
A suitably qualified traffic design consultant team along with a planner, lighting consultant and electrical engineer will be required to develop the designs and coordinate authority approvals. The designs will form part of Construction Contract for the Millers Point Traffic Calming and Greening works.
Tenderers must submit their response in the manner required by this document.
NOTES:
- any contract departures need to be submitted to the Procurement Representative as soon as possible but at least 10 business days before the RFT closing date and time.
