Tender Description

⁠⁠⁠The Law and Justice Foundation of NSW invites tenders from suitably qualified research organisations to provide comprehensive survey design, administration and data collection services for a national legal needs survey.

Project Scope: Administration of an anonymous, voluntary survey to a randomly selected, representative sample of 20,000 people aged 18+ across Australia. The survey will assess the prevalence of legal problems, examine responses to legal issues, and investigate access to legal assistance services.

Key requirements:

- Refinement of draft survey tool

- Cognitive testing and field pilot of the survey

- Strategies for inclusive survey design and participant recruitment, particularly for people who may experience barriers to participation including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, CALD communities, people with disabilities, and people who live in rural/remote communities

- National administration of the survey and data collection

- Dataset provision

- Technical reporting

- Effective collaboration and communication with Foundation staff

Data collection is to be completed by late 2026, with contract commencing April 2026.

Tenderers must demonstrate relevant expertise and experience, and propose a robust and feasible research plan.
