Provision of Internal Audit Services

TasTAFE is the largest public provider of vocational education and training in Tasmania. It operates under the auspices of its own legislative functions and powers and is governed by an independent Statutory Board which reports to the Minister for Skills and Jobs. TasTAFE operates from a network of campuses and training facilities across the state, with seven main campuses.

TasTAFE has a well-established internal audit program that is overseen by the TasTAFE Board, its Audit and Risk Management Committee (ARMC), and the Executive’s Risk and Compliance Committee. The internal audit function is part of TasTAFE’s compliance framework for effective internal control and continuous improvement.

TasTAFE is seeking an internal auditor to partner with to provide a wholistic service that will complement the work of the Auditor-General, and to undertake internal audits to assess the adequacy of major operational systems and programs, to monitor the management of identified strategic and operational risks, and to provide relevant advice to the TasTAFE Board and management.
