Hinchinbrook Shire Council (“Council”) invites tenders from suitably qualified and experienced contractors for the 2025/26 Annual Roof Replacement Program, Contract No. HSC 25/13.
The works comprise the removal and replacement of existing roofing systems across several Council facilities, including the SES Building (Menzies Street), Pest Shed (Martin Street Depot), Macknade Water Treatment Plant, Tyto Precinct, and the North Bound Bus Shelter on Townsville Road.
The Contractor will be required to provide all necessary plant, labour, materials, supervision, and equipment to perform the Works Under the Contract (WUC) in accordance with the requirements of Part 5 – Scope, Part 4 – Contract (Minor Works), and Part 5B – General Specification (Minor Works).
Tenderers are deemed to have inspected all project sites and familiarised themselves with local conditions before submitting a tender.
No claims will be accepted for lack of knowledge regarding existing site conditions, access constraints, or service locations.
Council’s preference is for works to commence as soon as practicable following contract execution. The successful Contractor will be required to provide a detailed construction program outlining key milestones, staging, and completion dates for each facility.
