Tender Description
The project will install electric heat pumps to eliminate gas from the Collingwood Leisure Centre and improve ventilation, air flow, heating and also adding cooling in the pool hall and changerooms.
The project will also decrease humidity and condensation in the pool hall and increase energy efficiency in the change rooms, spa and front of house. Adding an extra heat pump will also build redundancy into the mechanical system.
The domestic hot water system will also transition from gas fired to electric efficient heat pumps. Building works options have been added to the project to take advantage of the pool hall and entrance closure to repair/replace concrete corrosion in the pool hall deck, remediate pool hall fabric and steelworks, add an airlock to the main entry/exit and installation of a front of building parapet to hide roof infrastructure.
