Station Precinct - Fenced Dog Park Design and Construction

Mansfield Shire Council is seeking to engage the services of an experienced and qualified contractor to complete the landscaping and equipment installation works for the fenced dog park at Mansfield Station Precinct.

The development of an Off-Leash Dog Park within the Mansfield Station Precinct is a key initiative under the Mansfield Station Precinct Masterplan. This project is designed in a strategic effort to enhance local amenities and promote a welcoming, pet-friendly community environment. More than just a recreational space for dogs, the park is envisioned as a way to bring the community together, encourage people to spend more time outdoors, and make the area more attractive and welcoming.

This initiative is closely related to Mansfield Community Vision (2040), Mansfield Open Space Strategy (adopted 2023), Mansfield Shire Domestic Animal Management Plan (2021-2025), and Victorian Government's Open Space for Everyone Strategy (2021).

Extensive preliminary activities have been undertaken, such as obtaining reports, permits, and environmental assessment, to ensure a sustainable and well-considered design. The project will undergo thorough evaluation at different stages; planning, designing, construction and final review checks to ensure everything stays on track and meet the goals.
