Heavy Vehicle Mechanical Services (Ad-Hoc Engagement)

Council is seeking Request for Quotations (RFQ) from suitably accredited heavy vehicle mechanics for inclusion on a Schedule of Rates to provide ad-hoc mechanical services at Councils Narromine Depot.

The successful contractor will be engaged on an as-needed basis, typically for one (1) eight-hour day per engagement. There is no guarantee of ongoing or minimum work under this Schedule of Rates arrangement. Engagements will be initiated by Council as operational needs arise.

Mechanical services may include, but are not limited to, maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and fault finding on Councils heavy vehicle and plant fleet, including:

• Prime movers
• Tractors
• Graders
• Crew cab trucks
• Other heavy vehicles and plant within Councils fleet

Council requires a suitably accredited heavy vehicle mechanic with demonstrated experience and competence working on heavy vehicles and plant.

The contractor must:

• Hold relevant trade qualifications and accreditations applicable to heavy vehicle mechanical work
• Have appropriate knowledge, skills, and experience to work on a diverse heavy vehicle fleet
• Supply all necessary tools and equipment required to carry out the works

The mechanic will work from Councils Narromine Depot workshop, with access to Council infrastructure including:

• Workshop space
• Vehicle pit
• Standard workshop facilities

Council will not supply specialised tools and it is expected that these are supplied by the mechanic.
