Requirements

The Clean Energy Regulator (CER) is seeking an experienced Business or System Analyst. The Business/System Analyst is expected to build a deep understanding of business requirements and system workflows and decompose these into meaningful, testable user stories for a multi-disciplinary scrum team.

Responsibilities

Business Analysts should have the following experience:

  • Ensure business or system requirements and user needs are clearly defined and documented with clear, testable acceptance criteria.
  • Identify and articulate design options, system workflows, and associated rationale.
  • Facilitate workshops and meetings to define new business processes or identify opportunities for process improvements.
  • Manage complex stakeholder relationships and maintain effective networks.
  • Work with business areas and across multiple scrum teams responsible for agile delivery of IT services and products.
  • Support the scrum team in a rapid delivery environment, demonstrating flexibility to achieve sprint goals.
  • Participate and contribute to relevant Communities of Practice across the Agile Release Train.

Personnel requirements

The Business Analyst or Systems Analyst must have:

  • 3+ years demonstrated experience as a Business or System Analyst, working across digital products or software delivery
  • Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with a technical and non-technical audience and influence stakeholders with competing interests
  • Experience in workshop facilitation and interviews
  • Experience in interpreting legislation and the analysis of complex business problems in large scale, transformational program of work within a government context
  • Strong knowledge of techniques and artifacts to support Agile delivery (definition of done, user stories, Gherkin, INVEST)
  • Execute product delivery and follow ways of working in line with the Scaled Agile Framework, Digital Service Standard, Scrum and Kanban.
  • Strong experience working in multi-disciplinary teams to deliver IT projects
  • High level of proficiency with Azure DevOps and Miro
