Ghungalu Nunee Security Fencing

The scope of the contract and primary objective of the project is for the removal and disposal of approximately 200 meters of existing fencing. and installation of new security fencing to the same distance.

The existing fencing is composed of 900mm high chain link fence material with galvanised stays and posts. The total distance of the fenceline is approximately 200 metres in length.

The Principal Contractor is responsible for the removal and disposal including any relevant dump fees at own expense.

The installation of the new fencing must meet the following requirements: Type 1 security fencing as per attached document “Emergency & School Security”, constructed from panels comprised of black spear top steel picket and rails, manufactured of galvanised steel tube. Type 1 security fencing is typically 2100mm in height. These panels are 2400mm wide.

Exclusion zones comprising of temporary fencing must be installed throughout construction. Start dates and sectional phasing will need consideration of school operations / curriculum to ensure minimal disruptions to oval access requirements.

Access to the site will be via the school grounds for the duration of the said works and permission is provided by way of a Work Area Access Permit at construction start up.

Documentation is attached regarding works at a DOE facility and the design specification for fencing.

The successful supplier shall be appointed as Principal Contractor for the project delivery. Council authorises the supplier as Principal Contractor, to have management / control of the workplace and discharges the duties of Principal Contractor to the supplier.
