Carbon Reduction Offset Project (CROP) Detailed Feasibility Study

Coliban Water is proposing to appoint a contractor to provide services relating to developing projects for the purpose of creating Australian Carbon Credit Units in accordance with methodologies prescribed by the Carbon Credits (Carbon Farming Initiative) Act 2011, and its subordinate legislation.

Coliban Water owns approximately 350 hectares near Echuca, Victoria, with an estimated 300 hectares suitable for native environmental plantings. The objective is to evaluate and, if feasible, develop an ACCU-Compliant Environmental Plantings Project, generating Australian Carbon Credit Units under the Clean Energy Regulator’s Environmental Plantings Method.
