Public Announcement System Upgrade at Lakeside Stadium

The project aims to update and reconfigure the public address system installed at the SSC’s Lakeside Stadium Venue. The objectives are to improve the audio quality of voice, music and other system generated announcements through hardware updates and system tuning. The objectives also include greater integration with other services and improved audio zoning.

Key Outcomes

1. System Integration: Full compatibility with current installations, including EWIS mute functionality.

2. Enhanced Coverage: New speakers and amplifiers providing clear, distributed audio across GA areas, warm-up zones, gates, and key rooms.

3. Dedicated Zones: Improved zoning for high-priority areas such as the Presidents Room, Cathy Freeman Room, Call Room, and warm-up areas.

4. Flexible Inputs: Support for temporary DJ setups and event-specific audio inputs, ensuring adaptability for diverse functions.

5. Paging & Announcements: Independent paging system at Lakeside to enable automated announcements and operational communication.

Project Requirements

• System design with expected performance metrics aligned with specifications

• Completion of engineering assessments to ensure building and grandstand structures can support installed equipment.

• Solution must be Dante capable and integrate seamlessly with existing QSC/Q-SYS installations (including EWIS mute).

• Replacement of existing speakers, mounting systems, and amplifiers. System racking is to be assessed to ensure sufficient space, power and connections.

• Updates or replacement of structured cabling to ensure all existing cabling supports the updated system.

• As-built functional and audio quality testing, with reports, to ensure performance meets system design metrics.
