FRRB MSC 00148 - Minor Asphalt Works

The Works comprise asphalt mill and fill patching at nominated roads with a three-layer asphalt pavement system comprising structural and wearing courses, with interlayer reinforcement, as follows:

• Cold milling to match the total asphalt thickness specified (nominal 220 mm)For 5369m2

• Placement of a multi-layer asphalt system:

– Structural Course (Lower): 1 × AC20 C450 @ 90 mm compacted thickness.

– Structural Course (Upper): 1 × AC20 C450 @ 80 mm compacted thickness.

– Wearing Course: 1 × AC14 C2450 @ 50 mm compacted thickness.

• Interlayer Reinforcement: Glass Grid 8512FT (or approved equivalent) installed between the upper AC20 layer and the AC14 wearing course.

• Cold milling to match the total asphalt thickness specified (nominal 120 mm) For 1560 m2

– Structural Course (Upper): 1 × AC20 C450 @ 70 mm compacted thickness.

– Wearing Course: 1 × AC14 C2450 @ 50 mm compacted thickness.

• Tack coats applied between all asphalt interfaces (0.35–0.50 L/m²).

• Compaction, QA testing, line marking reinstatement, and site cleanup.
