Tender Description
The Western Metropolitan Regional Council (WMRC) seeks Tenders from licenced operators of Landfill or Energy from Waste (EfW) facilities. They will be required to receive approximately 700 Tonnes per month of residual MSW waste collected in kerbside residential red lidded bins to replace an existing contract that expires on 30 June 2026.
The WMRC will revert these waste streams to a EfW facility currently being constructed when it is commissioned (the date isn't certain as yet) however will require ongoing access to a Contractor's site for ad hoc delivery purposes.
It is intended to enter into a 3-year contract (with an optional extension of a further 1 year) commencing 1 July 2026.
The WMRC intends to appoint the successful Contractor to commence operation on 1 July 2026.
