Rabbit Monitoring and Shooting Program

Warrnambool City Council is seeking quotations for a suitably qualified contractor to enhance rabbit monitoring and control activities (shooting) within the Warrnambool Foreshore.

To support ongoing invasive species management, Council are seeking to A) undertake monitoring of European rabbit (Oryctolagus cuniculus) populations throughout the foreshore reserve (Crown Land / Council Managed Land), and B) implement a shooting program over several years to decrease the rabbit population.

These works will compliment biological control, baiting, den fumigation, and other prescribed activities under an integrated management program.
