Animal Pound Services

The City of Greater Dandenong is committed to promoting responsible pet ownership, safeguarding community amenity, and ensuring the welfare of animals within its municipality. As part of this commitment, Council provides animal pound services to manage stray, lost, and surrendered animals, in accordance with the Domestic Animals Act 1994 and the Code of Practice for the Management of Dogs and Cats in Shelters and Pounds. Council is now seeking a suitably qualified contractor to deliver high-quality animal pound services that meet legislative requirements and community expectations.
