WPDD - Maukoro Canal Stopbank Increase

Hauraki District Council (HDC) requires a contractor to provide earthworks and civil construction services.

This contract is for the raising of a portion of the existing earth stop bank, installing stormwater culverts across it, as well as extending the length of the existing stop bank, constructing minor timber retaining walls and construction of an approximately 300mm thick concrete footpath, to act as stage 1 of a concrete stop bank.

The scope of the contract includes:

• Setting out all of the works

• H&S management

• Environmental management

• Traffic management

• Stop bank earthworks

• Minor stormwater construction

• Timber retaining walls

• Concrete works

• Site reinstatement

All works shall be carried out in accordance with the contract specifications and the conditions of any applicable consents and / or traffic management.

The successful tenderer will be contracted to carry out best practice operations to ensure that efficient and effective construction methods are used to provide Council with value for money and positive initiatives, which benefit the Community.

The form of contract to be used is NZS3910:2023 with special conditions.
