Key Components of the Scope:
1. Design and Construction Works
- G64: New Midwifery Lab incorporating a birthing suite, four-bed configuration, student preparation and storage areas.
- Works include demolition, fit-out, partitioning, flooring, plumbing, joinery, mechanical, electrical, and data services.
- Compliance with building standards, safety, and ventilation requirements.
2. Procurement of Lab Equipment
- A separate procurement process (valued at approximately $300K) will cover the acquisition of specialist midwifery simulation equipment, including high-fidelity mannequins, birthing simulators, and supporting technology needed to commence the program in its first academic year.
3. Relocation of existing computer lab
- G70 will be converted into a new computer lab through a separate procurement process, allowing G64’s computer lab to relocate, and with timetable approval debriefing will be inn G68 or G69.
