Bridge Design Program 2025-2026

DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES

•  Prepare designs for new (replacement) bridges in accordance with applicable legislation, guidelines and standards

•  Undertake site investigations to facilitate and inform the designs

•  Undertake Cultural and Historic Heritage investigations

•  Undertake Flora and Fauna investigation and report

•  Prepare cost estimates and technical specifications for construction of the new bridges

The Consultant shall provide the following Deliverables in pdf and CADD format in accordance with the timeframes in Section 7:

• Feature survey

• Design report and concept design.

• Draft detailed design (incl. updated design report).

• Cultural and Historic Heritage Assessment Report.

• Draft cost estimate and draft technical specification.

• Final design and documentation (incl. evidence of design review, final cost estimate, schedule/bill of quantities, quality assurance and compliance).

• Ecological assessment report.

SEPARABLE PORTIONS

The services comprise two separable portions as follows:

•  Separable Portion A – Design of a heritage Zeal bridge on Colles Road, Moonlight Flat Castlemaine to rehabilitate Bridge BR003137.

•  Separable Portion B – Design of a new timber footbridge over Forest Creek Castlemaine to replace Bridge BR00 BR003191.

Council may award one or both separable portions which will be confirmed prior to contract execution.

MANDATORY SITE INSPECTIONS

Consultants must attend the mandatory site inspections for their submission to considered for evaluation. Site inspection information is detailed below:
