Expression of Interest - Kororoit Creek Shared Trails (Stages 4&5) Construction

This EOI is made by Hobsons Bay City Council for Stage 4 and 5 of Kororoit Creek shared trail project involves the construction of approximately 2.0 kilometres of shared-use path designed for both cyclists and pedestrians. The path will be located within the Kororoit Creek Trail reserve, extending from Barnes Road to Cherry Lake in Altona North. The project is divided into two separable portions as follows.

• Separable Portion 1: Cherry Lake (CH 2020) to Kororoit Creek Road (CH 1370.5)
• Separable Portion 2: Barnes Road (CH 20) to Kororoit Creek Road (CH 1370.5)

Stages 4 and 5 represent the final segment of the Kororoit Creek Trail, completing a vital link that connects the communities of Altona and Altona North to the broader commuter network, including the Federation Trail. Upon completion, this trail will provide direct and convenient access to Melbourne’s city centre and surrounding western suburbs.

In addition to enhancing transport connectivity, the trail will improve community access to the natural environment along Kororoit Creek. It will support increased opportunities for passive recreation and contribute to improved health and wellbeing outcomes for local residents.

A non-mandatory site visit is available to respondents upon request. Interested parties may contact the nominated Council representative to register their interest in attending. Council will determine, based on the level of interest received, whether site visits will be held as a group session or arranged individually. A confirmed date and time will be advised to all registered respondents. Attendance at the site visit is not compulsory and will not form part of the evaluation process.
