Replacement of Taxi Shelter, Anson Street, Orange

Orange City Council invites tenders from suitably qualified contractors for the Replacement of the Taxi Shelter located on Anson Street, Orange. The existing shelter sustained significant damage following a truck collision in August 2025 and requires full replacement. The successful tenderer will be responsible for demolishing the existing structure and constructing a like-for-like replacement shelter in accordance with the original design documentation.

The general works to be undertaken but not limited to, will consist of the following activities:

- Preparation of preliminary plans for WHS, Quality and necessary project control plans.

- Site survey, mobilisation and establishment.

- Demolition of the existing shelter structure, including removal of all loose cladding and failed structural members.

- Remove the existing grout levelling bed and thoroughly clean the site to prepare for installation.

- Preserve all cast-in anchors during grout removal to enable reuse of existing shelter foundations.

- Report any additional structural failures discovered during demolition.

- Fabrication and installation of a full like-for-like shelter structure in accordance with original shelter documentation and relevant structural standards.

A non-mandatory pre-tender meeting and site inspection is to take place at 12 noon on Tuesday, 25 November 2025. Tenderers are required to RSVP for the non-mandatory pre-tender meeting.
