Summary
One consistent barrier to farm safety implementation identified is a “myth” that “it costs money to be safe” and these changes would negatively impact on farm profitability and productivity. This investment proposes to examine the impact of improved farm safety practices on farm business profitability and productivity via an analysis of growers of varying scale who have implemented farm safety practices. This analysis will quantify the actual impact and test whether these changes negatively impact on farm profitability and productivity.
