Intersection Upgrade - Yalwal Rd & George Evans Rd Mundamia

⁠⁠⁠PROJECT SCOPE

The scope of the project will involve construction of a full channelised right turn from Yalwal Road into George Evans Road, full channelised left turn from Yalwal Road into George Evans Road, construction of two approach lanes on George Evans Road to Yalwal Road.

Other works as described in the contract documents includes all activities necessary to provide works that are suitable for the intended purpose. The works includes, but are not limited to the following elements:

• Site establishment and disestablishment, including preliminaries, survey set out, underground and overhead utility location and protection, dilapidation survey for affected areas programming etc.
• Installation of VMS on Yalwal Rd at either end of the works 2 weeks prior to the commencement of works to provide notification to motorists.
• The contractor is responsible for the submission of a monthly report to Council including but not limited to project progress and programme, budget forecasts, safety, quality and environmental deliverables, incident reporting and communications planning
• Quality management including testing and compliance with the specifications provided including the preparation of ITPs to the satisfaction of Council and their appointed NER certifying the works.
• Workplace Health and Safety management including compliance with all legislation
• Environmental management including adherence to the environmental safeguards and measures identified in the Review of Environmental Factors.
• Preservation and relocation of Survey Marks affected by the proposed works including the preparation of a POSI Report and related documents by a Registered Surveyor and submission to NSW Spatial Services for approval. Scope includes relocation of survey marks and satisfying all conditions of the POSI report. The contractor is responsible for all costs associated with complying with NSW spatial surveys and relocating the survey marks. Relocation of underground and above ground services (Electrical, Streetlighting and Communications Services). It is the contractor's responsibility to coordinate, appropriately schedule and engage all suitably qualified subcontractors to manage all service relocations to the satisfaction of the service provider and Shoalhaven City Council.
• Construction of a concrete protection slab over the critical Shoalhaven Water trunk water main including coordinating Shoalwater supervision for these works and costs associated with their supervision. Note excavation, construction of slab and backfill is limited to a maximum of 2 joints of the pipe.
• Stockpile management
• Testing and classification of all material imported and exported from the project or stockpile locations
• Erosion and sediment control
• Traffic management. The roads are to remain open with a minimum of one lane contraflow at all times.
• Clearing and grubbing
• Earthworks
• Replacement of stormwater drainage lines with box culverts, headwalls, scour protection and CCTV inspection on completion
• Installation of subsoil drains
•  Kerb and gutter construction, concrete island and footpath removal and construction works
• Pavement construction including cement stabilisation
• Asphalt wearing course
•  Removal and Installation of Street Lighting
•  Installation of guardrail including end terminals
•  Installation of signposting, line marking, pavement markings, RRPMs and guideposts
•  Landscaping- hydroseeding and stabilisation of batters

The contractor shall supply all labour, plant, materials and services necessary to provide works that are suitable for their intended purpose, irrespective of whether items are specifically noted in this section or not.

Unless specified issues are stated in the tender it is deemed that the contractor has satisfied themselves that the works can be carried out
