Tender Description

Important Information for Prospective Bidders

Any organisation wishing to participate in the Expression of Interest (EOI) process for the MCG Redevelopment 2025 – Lead Designer (Architect) – Business Case must first download and execute the Confidentiality Deed.

The executed Confidentiality Deed must be submitted via email to:

mcgredevelopment2025businesscase@development.vic.gov.au prior to the release of the EOI documentation.

When submitting the executed Confidentiality Deed, prospective bidders are also required to confirm the following information in their email response:

(a) That they hold previous Stadium/Arena Experience

(b) That they have Designer experience in projects c.$100m

Only those parties who have submitted a correctly executed Confidentiality Deed and provided the above confirmations will be issued with access to the EOI documentation.

A closed EOI will be established alongside this open EOI on the Buying for Victoria (BFV) portal. Once Development Victoria confirms that a bidder has submitted a valid Confidentiality Deed and met the mandatory criteria, that bidder will be granted access to the restricted EOI listing on the BFV portal containing the detailed EOI documentation. Eligible bidders will then be able to prepare and submit their responses through the BFV portal in the usual manner, prior to the EOI closing date.

Completion Instructions for Confidentiality Deed:

  • Insert organisation recipient details where indicated
  • Review the execution clause and select the option appropriate for your company

Provide evidence to support the method of execution, for example:

  •  If signing by two directors, provide a company search or equivalent evidence confirming the directors
  •  If signing by authorised representative, provide a signed letter of authority from a lawyer or director confirming the representative’s authority
  •  If signing under power of attorney, provide a copy of the registered power of attorney

This template assumes the EOI will primarily be issued to private companies. If your organisational structure differs (e.g., partnership, sole trader, trust or other entity), please contact Development Victoria to confirm the appropriate execution clause.

If you have any concerns or issues with the terms of this deed, do not amend the document. Contact Development Victoria to discuss. Amending the terms without notifying DV may result in significant delays to the release of the EOI documentation.
