GWW12073 Melton WS1 Storage Expansion and GWW12074 Romsey RWP Upgrade - Expression of Interest

Greater Western Water is a leading metropolitan water corporation in Melbourne responsible for providing water, trade waste and sewerage services to Melbourne's CBD, inner and western suburbs.

Greater Western Water requests expressions of interest from suitably qualified contractors for the construction of earthen recycled water storage dams located at both the Melton and Romsey Recycled Water Plants (RWP).

The EOI will form the first part of a two-stage procurement process from which GWW will shortlist suitable service providers to:

• Provide constructability advice as part of the detailed design of each earthen storage dam; and
• Participate in two separate Request for Tender processes (one at each of Melton and Romsey RWP’s).

The scope of construction services for each project includes but is not limited to the following:

Melton Winter Storage No. 1 Expansion

• Increasing the capacity of and existing 1GL dam by up to an additional 1GL, including the demolition and reconstruction of the existing embankments and installation of a new clay or HDPE liner.
• Associated pipeline installation and upgrade works.

Romsey Recycled Water Plant Upgrade

• Construction of three separate lagoons (26ML, 52ML and 200ML).
• Associate pipeline installation and upgrade works.

As part of the construction of these projects, a combined volume of clay and rock which will need to be excavated is well in excess of one million cubic metres.
