E-waste Recycling Services

E-Waste is growing up to three times faster than general municipal waste in Australia and contains hazardous materials which can harm human health and the environment. We have been providing an E-Waste Drop Off Day for the community since 2011.

When we initially introduced this service the provider we used was part of the ‘The National Television and Computer Recycling Scheme (NTCRS)’ for our region. The Victorian Government banned E-waste being sent to landfill as of 1 July 2019. Since the ban we have seen an increase in demand for the service and since November 2021 we have offered the community mini recycling hubs.

Manningham Council are currently seeking quotations to engage a company who will provide the following E-waste recycling services:

•  Weekly collections from recycling hubs situated in our local libraries at Warrandyte, Bulleen, The Pines and Doncaster and our Depot Offices for small e-waste items.
•  Collection of mixed E-waste (TV’s and computers) from our Depot Offices periodically throughout the year.
•  Provide staff, skips and collection of small household E-waste from our E-Waste Drop off days which are held twice a year.

Any questions about this request should be submitted through the "Question Forum" in the etender portal. The cut off time for questions is three (3) business days prior to the closing date.

The lowest or any tender may not necessarily be accepted and any action or contact that may be considered as an attempt to influence a decision of Councillors or Staff shall disqualify the relevant tenderer.

Faxed, email, hard copy of verbal quotations will not be considered.
