Council has secured grant funding from the Australian Government to upgrade the intersection at Dead Horse Lane and Mansfield Whitfield Road to a compact roundabout. The project aims to enhance safety for all road users. Dead Horse Lane, which forms part of the Heavy Vehicle Alternative Route, has experienced instances of drivers failing to stop at the existing stop sign, creating conflicts with through traffic on Mansfield Whitfield Road. The proposed roundabout will reduce approach speeds and ensure vehicles give way in accordance with road rules.
