The Maaman Wirin Bidi Project Wadjemup Aboriginal Burial Ground project is a landmark initiative in truth-telling, cultural healing, and public recognition of one of the most significant sites of Aboriginal incarceration and death in custody in Australia. Located on Wadjemup / Rottnest Island, the Wadjemup Aboriginal Burial Ground contains the unmarked graves of hundreds of Aboriginal men and boys from across Western Australia.
This package of works includes the Wadjemup Aboriginal Burial Ground Memorialisation and the new Rottnest Island Golf Clubhouse Access Road.Site Visit
A site visit will be held at Outside the Quod on Rottnest Island, Rottnest Island on 29 October 2025 8:30 AM.
Tenderers can attend a mandatory site visit and briefing scheduled on:
- Date: Wednesday 29 October 2025
- Time: 8:30 am
- Location: Outside the Quod on Rottnest Island
Transport: Ferry departure to Rottnest from B Shed Fremantle or Hillarys 7:30 a.m.
Ferry return from Rottnest to B Shed Fremantle at discretion of Tenderers.
The Respondent is requested to confirm its attendance by no later than 2:30PM on 27 October 2025. Tenderers shall confirm to Kelly Parks their attendance at the Site Visit and Briefing via email at Kelly.parks@dbca.wa.gov.au
