2026 NAIDOC Merchandise – Print, Supply & Distribution

⁠⁠⁠Rio Tinto is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander-owned businesses for the print, supply, and distribution of NAIDOC merchandise for our Australian workforce in 2026.

In 2025, approximately 15,000 shirts were ordered. For 2026, we anticipate a similar volume of around 15,000 units, which may include shirts or alternative merchandise items. Orders will be placed between February and April 2026, with final delivery required by the first week of June 2026.

Key Requirements

• Merchandise must be made from cotton, cotton-blend, other natural fiber fabrics, or environmentally sustainable materials.

• Rio Tinto will provide the final artwork to the selected supplier.

• Suppliers must demonstrate the capacity to manage large-scale production and national distribution within the specified timeframe.

• Rio Tinto is also exploring alternative merchandise options for 2026, such as:

o Drink bottles

o Caps

o Notebooks and pens

This initiative reflects Rio Tinto’s ongoing commitment to supporting Indigenous businesses and celebrating NAIDOC Week in a culturally respectful and inclusive way.

This scope of work is a summary description of goods and/or services that may be required by Rio Tinto and may be subject to change in Rio Tinto’s absolute discretion.

Your business capability statement, as stored on your portal profile, may be downloaded and referenced when the responses to the expression of interest are reviewed. It is recommended that Suppliers review the portal business details section to ensure all information, including contact email address, annual turnover and employee numbers, is current and accurate.

As this is an Expression of Interest (EOI) only, the specifics of the package of work relating to breadth of scope, location and timing may be subject to change. If successful, the Supplier/s will be notified of any changes prior to award.
