Tender Description
Council’s Donations program offers up to $2,000 per financial year to not-for-profit groups and organisations with strong local membership or participation. The program supports projects that deliver clear benefits to the Lake Macquarie community.
Applications are open all year (until the annual budget is fully allocated) and assessed twice each financial year, usually in February and August. Once the budget is exhausted, the application form will be temporarily removed from Council’s website.
Before applying, applicants should read the Donations Program Guidelines(PDF, 158KB) to confirm their eligibility. Key requirements include being not‑for‑profit, delivering the project within the Lake Macquarie LGA and seeking support for a specific project rather than ongoing operational costs.
Applications must be submitted online using the form on this page. Council staff assess each application against the eligibility criteria in the Donations Program Guidelines(PDF, 158KB), recommendations are then presented to the elected Council for consideration.
