Tender Description

The Australian Government is inviting the identified organisation via a one-off ad hoc process to apply to deliver services under the First Action Plan Priorities Fund – Supporting representation of LGBTIQA+ people impacted by Family, Domestic and Sexual Violence from December 2025 to 30 June 2026.

The National Plan to End Violence against Women and Children 2022-2032 includes LGBTIQA+ people as part of Australia’s commitment to end all forms of gender-based violence. Recognising that this cohort experiences high rates of FDSV and significant barriers to accessing mainstream supports.

The purpose of the grant is to address a gap in representation of LGBTIQA+ people impacted by Family Domestic and Sexual Violence (FDSV) in the 2025–26 financial year only. Providing national representation of the LGBTIQA+ community in key FDSV-related consultations, in addition to strategic, intersectional and evidence-based advice to governments.

Successful delivery of the Supporting representation of LGBTIQA+ people impacted by FDSV activity will contribute to the National Plan and associated Action Plans.

The objectives of the grant are:

  • to provide national representation of the LGBTIQA+ community in key FDSV-related consultations, and provide strategic, intersectional and evidence-based advice to governments
  • to support sector workforce capability building, including supporting collaboration and coordination between organisations
  • to participate in public engagement and knowledge building activities.

The intended outcomes of the grant are:

  • to drive improved outcomes for LGBTIQA+ people impacted by FDSV in Australia, particularly in relation to the National Plan
  • to support sector workforce capability building to appropriately respond to FDSV
  • to building public understanding and knowledge of FDSV against LGBTIQA+ people, including intersectionality with other forms of disadvantage or discrimination.
