GreenLinks - Rewilding Barongarook Creek for a Healthier Future

The procurement is required to engage suitably qualified and experienced contractors to undertake significant woody weed removal works along Barongarook Creek corridor as part of the GreenLinks – Rewilding Barongarook Creek project.

Works under this contract will involve removal of large woody weeds and management of instream vegetation across five sites within the GreenLinks Project area on the Barongarook Creek, Colac. Contractors may tender for the whole site or selected sections.

The project involves the removal of 1.38 hectares of Willow trees, classified as a National Weed of Significance, to improve water quality and the structural integrity of the catchment, and the removal of other large exotic tree species, primarily Poplar, Ash and Elm.
