Opportunity to Purchase Softwood Logs

⁠⁠⁠Department of Energy, Environment, and Climate Action (DEECA) advise of the forthcoming opportunity to purchase softwood (predominantly Pinus radiata) log parcels totalling approximately 210,000 green metric tonnes (gmt).

• This Request for Information (RFI) is issued to provide the market early visibility of the forthcoming opportunity and to invite prospective buyers to register their interest.
• This RFI and registration process does not constitute a request for tender or an offer.
• Parties interested in receiving further information are invited to register and complete the RFI Response Form by no later than Thurs 30th October, 2:00pm.
• Formal release of a Request for Tender (RFT) is expected in January 2026. Execution of Timber
• Sales Agreements is expected between April and May 2026
• Proposed operations are expected to commence from October 2026.
