Provision of flowback and well test service

Provide flow back and well test services for a well flow testing program in the Darling Basin, for 2 existing wells.

Project goals

The Geological Survey of NSW seeks flow back and well test services for a Project consisting of well completion, flow testing and plug and abandonment of 2 existing wells in the Darling Basin.

The services are inclusive of provision of equipment, material and personnel to provide the services.

The Project aims to better understand the regional geology and reservoir characteristics of certain formations in the Pondie Range and Yathong Troughs of the Darling Basin, by addressing key knowledge gaps in geological structure, stratigraphy, reservoir properties, and hydrogeology. This work will provide valuable data for the Geological Survey of NSW to refine geological models, and inform future resource assessments and other studies.

Scope

Well Flow Test is expected to commence from April to June 2026 (exact timing to be confirmed).

The well test approach will utilise an ESP to flow water to surface while monitoring of pressures and flow rates to establish reservoir characteristics (assuming no gas or hydrocarbons are present in the well stream). It is anticipated that each zone in the well may be selectively flow tested for up to 10 days each with an overall well test duration on each well of approximately ~30 days per well. Provisioning of flowback and well test services will be required throughout the well testing duration to open and/or close SSDs accordingly as required to flow test each zone of interest.

Supplier is to provide all Equipment, Materials and Personnel for the provision of Services required to complete the wells with a design and operational plan as detailed in the Technical Scope.
