Lung Foundation Australia is pleased to invite applications for the Lung Foundation Australia - Lizotte Family Grant for Research in Pulmonary Fibrosis valued at $5,000 (+ GST) over a maximum of 1 year.

Through proceeds from the Breath of Life Music Festivals, the Lung Foundation Australia - Lizotte Family Pulmonary Fibrosis Research Grant was established to honor the contributions of the Lizotte Family, who after experiencing the loss of a family member as a result of PF, have worked tirelessly through their involvement with the Breath of Life Music Festival to raise much needed funds for research and to raise awareness about IPF and respiratory disease.

Health professionals and early to mid-career researchers with a special interest in pulmonary fibrosis are invited to apply. Grant funding will commence post-notification in Q1 2026. Grant funds may be used to supplement other sources of research funding – see Terms and Conditions for more information.

Projects with a focus on understanding the biology and prevention of pulmonary fibrosis as identified by and aligned with our community identified research priorities will be viewed favourably by the grant review committee.

Projects which further focus on priority populations, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians, are also highly encouraged.
