The Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (DEECA) is responsible for maintaining the road network in the forest estate. DEECA utilises a road classification system to describe standards and maintenance regimes.

The DEECA Strategic Fire Road Network (SFRN) is used to control and prevent bushfire, by utilising these roads as major fire breaks or burn boundaries in emergency situations and when conducting fuel reduction burns.

The Department is seeking responses to this Request for Tender (RFT) T2025-0488 for the provision of verge mowing of strategic fire access roads in the Erica and Noojee work centres of Latrobe District.
