Water Treatment for Thalanga Mine Site

The Department is seeking recommendation from technical experts and suppliers on the best method for water treatment and provision of supply of that equipment. The water treatment equipment is for treating pit water to a standard to enable irrigation on-site.

The Department is initially seeking a solution on site, as soon as possible to reduce water storage volumes for the upcoming wet season. It is anticipated the equipment for this year will necessarily be a temporary or mobile unit that can be transported. Solutions for further year(s) are also invited as it is acknowledged that longer lead times are required for capital purchases.

Consequently, there are three commercial options invited for service offering including:

• Capital purchase of equipment and plant outright
• Hire-to-buy arrangement, and
• Lease equipment/plant for a 6-to-12-month timeframe with the possibility of extension.
