Request for Tender For Construction of Junction Rd, May Rd & Plains Rd Floodways

Scope of Work

• The supply and placement of all materials for the concrete floodway slabs, cut off walls and the construction to specified standards (drawings attached) and tolerances for the floodways.
• Contractor will be responsible for the supply and delivery of the rubble required and rocks for stone pitching.
• Excavation for the floodways and cut-off walls shall be undertaken by the Contractor.
• Backfilling of the floodways and structures shall be undertaken by the Contractor.
• The principle will provide the setout for the floodway, contractor to follow the setout provided,
• Contractors are requested to provide a cost for both option for floodway’s;

1. Rock Protection/Stone Pitching where required, see drawings, and

2. Just concrete protection/No stone pitching where required. 

• The Contractor shall remove any existing structure if requires removal.
• The Contractor will perform the site preparation, shaping and compaction.
• The Contractor will reinstate and compact up to the completed deck structure.
• The Contractor will remove soils and rubble from the sites.
• The Contractor shall supply all materials required for the works including rubble, batter protection and water in which the contractor will be required to transport these materials to site. If required water can be sourced from Robertstown council Depot for the construction of floodway.
• The Contractor shall excavate all of their own footings.
• The Contractor to dispose of all waste created as a result of this project, a location nominated by the Principal and in an EPA approved manner.
• Supply and manage Work Zone Traffic Management at all sites.
