The Victorian Government is investing $655 million to redevelopment and expand the Ballarat Base Hospital.

The redevelopment will deliver a new multi-level tower

This tender seeks to engage a Facility Messaging System and Clinical Mobile Handsets contractor who will be responsible for the procurement, design, integration and configuration of a facilities messaging system (head end) and a suite of accompanying clinical mobile handsets in the new Main Works tower. The messaging system will incorporate a design that is scalable across the remaining Ballarat Base Hospital site.

The successful contractor must be ready to commence work before March 2026, with design to be completed by mid-2026.

This is the second tender package to be released as part of GH’s ICT responsibilities for the Ballarat Base Hospital Redevelopment (BBHR) and will be delivered in conjunction with the BBHR Systems Integrator package.
