Horseshoe Quarry Blast and Crush Tender 2025

Scope of Works – Horseshoe Quarry, Everton

The Indigo Shire Council invites tenders for the extraction, crushing, and stockpiling of gravel material at the Horseshoe Quarry in Everton.

The works involve the removal of in-situ material through controlled blasting, followed by crushing and stockpiling on-site. The contractor is required to extract material as specified, crush it, and form regular, clearly identified stockpiles by size and volume.

Stage 1 is the primary focus for this year and includes blasting and crushing approximately 8,900 BCM (11,570 LCM) of material.

Stage 2 may be considered depending on the tendered pricing and available budget. This stage would involve an additional 7,170 BCM (9,321 LCM) of material.

The contractor must produce and separately stockpile material in the following sizes:

• 20mm minus
• 40mm minus
• 100mm minus

Planning for stockpile placement and sizing is the responsibility of the contractor.
