Western NSW PHN invites eligible organisations to submit an application to deliver External Audit Services for a period of 3 years commencing financial year 2025/2026.The appointed auditor will be responsible for:

1. Conducting an annual audit of WNSW PHN's financial statements in accordance with the Australian Auditing Standards and the Corporations Act 2001.

2. Providing an independent opinion on whether the financial statements present a true and fair view of the organisation's financial position and performance.

3. Reviewing compliance with relevant Commonwealth funding agreements, accounting standards, and legislative requirements.

4. Assessing the adequacy of internal controls, governance structures, and financial reporting processes, and providing recommendations for improvement.

5. Engaging with the Board and Finance, Audit & Risk Committee to present audit findings, management letters, and highlight any key risks or issues identified.

6. Ensuring timely completion of audit activities to meet WNSW PHN's statutory and funding reporting obligations.

7. Providing audited acquittal program activities post financial statement completion annually.

The external audit function will provide assurance to the Board, management, funders, and stakeholders that WNSW PHN maintains the highest standards of financial integrity, accountability, and governance in delivering health services across the Western NSW region.
