AERO is seeking a researcher/research organisation with expertise in First Nations research to conduct a qualitative research project in 2025-26. The project will identify common elements of existing programs or approaches in schools that support success in learning for First Nations students through two-way, both-ways and/or culturally responsive approaches.
This will involve:
a high-level desktop scan of the evidence
collecting and analysing data from selected programs
preparing research outputs that synthesise findings and provide insights into the successful implementation of culturally safe learning environments.
AERO will work closely with the researcher/research organisation to ensure the project is guided by First Nations research methodologies, with a strong emphasis on consultation, relationship-building and culturally responsive research practices.
